Download the All-Levels Leadership brochure to get a better understanding of how encountas can work collaboratively with your organisation to tailor a leadership experience designed to build capability at all levels.
Being a leader can be hard, lonely, confusing, and also rewarding and transformational. We took the time to have a discussion on the realities of leadership, how leadership has changed, and the hard work we see leaders doing.
The increase in complexity and rapid changes leaders encounter today are unparalleled, impacting both our organisational and physiological systems. In this discussion we explored the new skills in leadership required in our new working world, the invisible labour of leaders, and how to lead in a human way.
Hosted by encountas Executive Coach and Leadership Development and Culture Change Specialist, Nicole Hercus, we dived deep into the human experience of leadership with panellists David Lawson, Executive Coach, Registered Psychologist and OD Specialist, Tia Chau, People and Culture Specialist, Executive Coach and Facilitator, and Liz Gould, Performance Psychologist, Facilitator, and Executive Coach.
Together, their expertise overlap in several critical areas, including cultural dynamics and human behaviours, mental health and safety, leadership impact, diversity and inclusion, and the transformation of cultures.
The discussions with the panellists focused on the realities of all elements of leadership, the unspoken challenges of leadership, the increasing expectations, and the skills for modern leadership.
We explored:
Realities of Leadership: Leadership is needed now more than ever. What are the realities of leadership and how have they evolved.
Unspoken Challenges of Leadership: Exploring the hard challenges leaders are facing, such as emotional labour, uncertainty, burnout, mental health, and relationship breakdowns.
Organisational Context and Personal Accountability: Provide key individual and organisational strategies to acknowledge and enable development.
Modern Leadership: Understanding the new skills and strategies required in leading people today and when they are needed most.
We want leaders to be seen and heard and to acknowledge the hard elements of leadership.
We hope you enjoy the conversation.
